ARCTIC LANDSCAPE HOTEL

A sun that rises a few minutes after it set. An unpredictable, enchanted sky, where veils of light iluminate 200 nights a year with blue and emerald glows. An ancient, ever-present forest covered in soft snow during the long winters; green, rust and golden during ruska -the Finnish autumn-, with sounds and colours that have no equal in any other parts of theworld. Words are not enough, pictures do not do justice to one of the last natural sanctuaries of Europe. Here, at the outermost bounds of the Earth, every expression of nature becomes extreme: cold, night, day, fear, and beauty appear extreme and extremely expanded.

As if they had fallen from sky, 22 stars placed in the snow will accommodate guests who want to enjoy this unique landscape.

They are located between trees, conected by ways opened in the snow and beacons which light the dark.

They are inhabited differently dependingon the program that takes place inside them: rooms, restaurants, reception and common areas, spa.

In terms of construction, we have chosen wood, using scandinavian system. A structure of wooden rings is brazed to form the arms of the stars.

The interior finish is exposed wood and the exterior finish is ceramic. Each star has a different colour, going with forest colours.
